I’m Demi, a mandala and pattern artist from Manchester, England.
I’ve been working with mandalas for about 6 years, after first discovering them during my final year at university.
My favourite thing to do is to create mandalas based on specific subjects, like coffee shops, computer games and nature.
I do as much research as I can and fill the mandala with as much imagery representing the specific subject as I can.
I love the idea of someone looking at the piece and discovering something new each time.
My aim for this blog is to talk about art, travel and mental health, all things I am very passionate about as they are all interlinked for me.
My anxiety and depression has kept me from exploring the world for a long time and I am determined to explore as much of it as I can, blogging about it and my struggles as I go.
Travelling also helps to inspire my artwork as I discover new and beautiful places that I can’t help but create mandala designs for.
I’m really excited to see where my life and this blog will take me.
Progressing with mental health is definitely a marathon, not a sprint, and I really hope to be able to share my thoughts and feelings with you all, slowly but surely fighting to end the stigma surrounding it, all whilst showing you my creations!
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post.
